Glen Junction is located a half mile from Story Land - we are a family oriented restaurant - the perfect stop on your way - or take a break and join us for lunch - and then head straight back to the park. Story Land - is the children's theme park where fantasy lives! Story Land opens for its 50th Anniversary season in 2004 on Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-31, and then is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only through Father's Day, June 20, from 9am-5pm.... We are open 9am-6pm on a daily basis from June 21 through Labor Day, September 6..... After Labor Day we are open Saturdays & Sundays only, plus Columbus Day (our final day of the season), from 9am to 5pm.

Canoeing, Kayaking and Tubing - The Saco River meanders it's way through the Mount Washington Valley on it's way to the Atlantic Ocean. It provides a generally calm and friendly environment great for the entire family. If you are looking for some Spring excitement - during the snow melts and spring rain you can access the Saco River right from your back door.

Mountain Biking - Enjoy the beautiful White Mountains off the beaten path. Mountain Biking is a great sport and the Mount Washington Valley is a fun and beautiful place to ride. Check out some local places to ride, links to maps and rentals.

Golf- Enjoy nine or eighteen holes with spectacular views. There are many options with in a short ride from Glen Junction Restaurant. Enjoy award winning greens or rustic mountain views. Finish your game and enjoy an alpine sunset. Here are some options that we can recommend.

Glen Junction has several train tracks set up and running - as well as several vintage trains showcased. This provides fun for Rail Fans of all ages! Railroads - What a great way to relax and enjoy the scenery with your friends and family on one of the areas unique and interesting Railroads. Some have dining cars and sunset rides other offer a short family excursion.

Fishing - Get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and enjoy the peace and quiet of a mountain river or lake. It is easy to find your own fishing hole in the White Mountain National Forest. The rivers a crystal clear and the fish are well stocked. Check out some of our suggestions.
Climbing - One of the incredible ways to enjoy the beauty of the Mountains and challenge yourself physically and mentally. The Mount Washington Valley offers serveral professional guide services that we recommend.
Hiking: We are located in the heart of the White Mountain National Forrest with many excellent hiking opportunities. Just minutes from here you will find hiking trails for all abilities, from those that have never hiked to those who are avid hikers. Just ask us and we will be able to direct you in the right path for your ability.

Glen Junction is located minutes from Attitash Resort - stop by for a bite before your visit Attitash - Alpine Slide, water slides, scenic chairlift ride, mountain biking, golf driving range and guided horseback rides.

Six Gun City - At Six Gun City and Fort Splash you will find something for every member of the family. Fort Splash Wading Pool and Cheyenne Falls Waterslide, their very own Bumper Boats, and Pony Rides for the little cowpokes. Tomahawk Run Waterslide, Desperadoes' Ambush Laser Tag, Bumper Boats, and new this year the best Go-Karts in the White Mountains at the Tumbleweed Speedway for the big kids.

A New England Family Tradition. All ages will have a fun-filled day with 16 action-packed rides, live performances, including "A Tinkerdoodle Christmas", a new 3D adventure show, and other great activities. Ride a Reindeer Coaster, Tickle the Humbugs in the Great Humbug Adventure, Splash down the Yule Log Flume, Decorate a Gingerbread Cookie, and Meet Santa and his Reindeer.
Wildcat Gondola Ride - For the summer and fall seasons, the 6,700 foot Quad line is used to transport 4-passenger gondolas to the summit of Wildcat Mountain for spectacular views of Mt. Washington and eastward to the Atlantic. Join us for the 11-15 minute ride to the summit elevation at 4,062 feet
Skyride opens Memorial Day weekend for weekends only until mid-June, then open daily through foliage in mid-October.

Heritage New Hampshire is located on Route 16 in Glen, in the heart of the Mount Washington Valley next to Story Land. Heritage is one of 17exciting attractions located in the White Mountains Region of New Hampshire. Open 9am to 6pm beginning Memorial Day Weekend, then Saturdays & Sundays only until daily summer operation begins June 17 through Labor Day. After Labor Day we are open Saturdays & Sundays only through Columbus Day.

Glen Junction is located just up the road from Attitash Ski Resort, just minutes to five Major Ski areas such as Bretton Woods, Cranmore & Wildcat and within an hours drive of a dozen Major Ski resorts...We are the perfect spot to stop for breakfast on the way...

Cross Country Skiing - Glen Junction is located just down the road from both Jackson Ski Touring and Bear Notch Ski Touring. The perfect spot to stop on your way Bretton Woods or Great Glen Trials or take a break in the middle of your day if your skiing in Jackson or Bartlett!
Snowshoeing - If you can walk you can snowshoe - it is great fun for the entire family! You can find you own way in the White Mountains or there are several areas such as Great Glen Trails, Bear Notch Ski Network and Mt. Washington Valley Ski Network where you will find both groomed and un-groomed options. Rental are available at most outdoor shops as well as at the snowshoe areas.
Ice Climbing and Winter Mountaineering - Don't let a little snow stop you from experiencing the mountains. Winter in the White Mountains is incredible. With the right gear and knowledge you can enjoy hiking and climbing in the winter. Glen Junction Restaurant is minutes to the National Forest as well as right on the way to some great climbing venues such as Frankenstein Cliff and Pinkham Notch. There are many well respected schools locally such as International Mountain Climbing School, Easter Mountain Sports, Bartlett Back country Adventures and Chauvin Guides. Snowmobiling - In The Mt. Washington Valley winter takes on a life of its own. As the first flakes of snow fall to the ground a fantastic energy fills the air. We roll out the white carpet with hundreds of miles of trails to welcome you to some of the best riding in New England. Sleigh Rides - Enjoy classic New England Winter Wonderland in a traditonal horse drawn sleigh. You will feel as though you have just stepped into a Currier and Ives painting! Ice Skating - Here in the beautiful Mt. Washington Valley you can ice skate both indoors in a well maintained rink, outside on one of the many groomed rinks in North Conway and Jackson or skate fireside through a Currier & Ives scene at Nestlenook Farm just around the corner in Jackson Village.
